The following is a brief description of each facility available to the Cherry Orchard Equine, Training and Education Centre.

Reception/Administration

We have a fully manned reception at all times. The reception staff has a very important role in creating the welcoming atmosphere for young people, staff and visitors to the centre.

Administration

The general office is situated on the second floor. Facilities available to staff include computer workstations, photocopier, stationary, phone and fax.

Equine Facilities

There are 28 stable at the centre, managed by equine Manager, staff and stable maintenance staff. Indoor arena The indoor arena is situated just inside the reception area. It is 1714 meters squared in size.

Outdoor Arena

The outdoor arena is situated between the paddocks and the stable area. It is 1704.5 meters square in size.

Lunging Ring

The lunging ring is outside the building beside paddocks 1 & 2. This is used for training horses.

Equine Staff Area

This area is positioned in the centre of the stables block. It provides office facilities for equine staff, and is ideally located to supervise the stables area.

Outdoor Gallop

The outdoor gallop is situated at the back of the centre. It is 550 meters long with wooden fence all round, and encircles paddock 1 & 2. Child Care Facilities This crèche provides full-time day care facility for 19 children from age 5 months to 5 years.
