The Leaders in Learning Fund has been supporting people living in Cherry Orchard to participate in education since 2019. Leaders in Learning an initiative of the Cherry Orchard Implementation Board, administered by the Liffey Partnership with funding from the Department of Rural and Community Development and Dublin City Council.  

The fund aims to support residents of the Cherry Orchard area who are engaged in further or higher education and training. This includes apprenticeships, part-time courses, full-time courses, and short courses. The fund is designed to assist those who wish to learn new skills, change their careers, upskill, or attend college.   The Leaders in Learning Fund is inclusive and welcoming to all residents of Cherry Orchard. Anyone living in the area who meets the criteria.   The fund offers up to €1,500 to cover various educational expenses. This can include: Course books IT Equipment Contribution towards course fees.

In 2023, more than 40 residents benefited from the Leaders in Learning Fund. The variety of courses included carpentry & joinery, beauty therapy, biotechnology, and medicine.   Residents interested in applying for the scholarship should contact the Liffey Partnership for more details on the application process. This fund represents a valuable opportunity for personal and professional growth for the residents of Cherry Orchard.
