Horse Riding
The opportunity to participate in equestrian sport is provided in the form of community riding lessons, therapeutic riding sessions and seasonal pony camps to both adults and children.
Group & Private Lessons
We cater from beginner up to advanced riders, offering a selection of lessons for all age groups. We provide quality lessons which are delivered and graded according to the AIRE syllabus.
Every rider has the opportunity to progress at their own pace and for children’s lessons especially, having fun and making new friends are central outcomes that we strive for. Private lessons are also available which are popular for those who wish to progress at a faster pace or have an interest in competing in the future.
Lessons take place: Monday to Friday from 3pm – 8pm and Saturday from 9am – 5pm.
Therapeutic Horse Riding
Our therapeutic coaches deliver weekly group and private sessions for children and adults with additional needs. The horse moves with a multidimensional rhythmic motion that mimics the human movement of walking. This promotes strength, balance, co-ordination, flexibility and confidence.
Therapeutic riding aims to achieve goals that enhance physical, emotional, social, cognitive behavioural and educational skills. Depending on needs, these sessions are delivered in the arena or on the sensory trail.
Pony Camps
Pony camps are a great way for children to improve their skills, knowledge and confidence around horses. We offer pony camps during school holidays. Typically three hours long, our pony camps include a horse riding lesson, stable management lessons and games / arts and crafts. The camps are run by qualified instructors and senior leaders and are well supervised.
Camps are very popular so early booking is advisable!
Pony Stars
This is a six week stable management programme which allows children to discover, develop and nurture their love for ponies. The programme develops skills in pony care, equine knowledge and the equestrian environment. This programme is delivered on a number of different days throughout the week by qualified instructors.
It is most suitable for children aged between 6 and 12 years and we recommend that children join Pony Stars prior to joining horse riding lessons. To find out more click below.
