International Women’s Day at Cherry Orchard Equine Centre
At Cherry Orchard Equine Centre, International Women’s Day is one of the most meaningful celebrations of our year. It’s a day where we pause the noise of everyday life and create a warm, welcoming space dedicated to the incredible women who make our community what it is — our staff, volunteers, service users, community partners, and the many women who support us throughout the year.
For us, International Women’s Day is about celebration, connection, empowerment, and acknowledgment. It’s a chance to uplift one another, share moments of relaxation, and appreciate the strength of the women around us. Although the day is held here at the equine centre, the focus is entirely on people — offering comfort, pampering, community, and a sense of belonging.
In 2024 and 2025, we celebrated with mornings filled with mindfulness, pampering, refreshments, kindness, and connection — and we look forward to growing this tradition year after year.
International Women’s Day 2024
Our 2024 celebration was a warm and uplifting morning in the Drop-In Centre.
We welcomed women from across our community for a beautifully arranged spread of refreshments and treats. Each person received a hamper bag, put together with care, as a small gesture of appreciation.
The morning included pamper sessions and reiki, offering women the rare chance to slow down, breathe, and take time for themselves. It was a peaceful and empowering atmosphere, focused on wellbeing and community connection.

International Women’s Day 2025
Our 2025 celebration was held in partnership with Blue Door, who helped create a truly special morning. The event included sound baths, relaxing hand massages, mindfulness moments, pamper sessions, and a delicious breakfast.
We extend a huge thank-you to everyone who joined us and helped make the morning memorable.
A special acknowledgement goes to:

Both generously donated and delivered pizza for the team at Cherry Orchard Equine Centre — the perfect surprise to end our celebration.
