This service is aimed at youths between the ages of 15 –24 years and is part of the Targeted Youth Employability Support Initiative (TYESI).Working closely with each individual, we provide personalised guidance to help young people explore their options and take practical steps towards their goals.

How the Programme Works

One-to-one support at Cherry Orchard Youth Service

We provide support at one-to-one level and in small groups to young people aged 15–24. We give priority to young people who are not currently in education, employment or training. Our aim is to be able to help and support any young person living in Cherry Orchard who wants to return to education or training, or who is unemployed and wants to get working.

We help young people assess their options if they are considering leaving school early. We support young people identify what kind of job or career would suit them and help them make a plan to reach these goals.

The Cherry Orchard Community Training Centre supports young people aged 16–21 to access early school leaver programmes including Youth Reach. We also help young people access apprenticeships, access courses and college/university.

As we are an integrated service, we can also link a young person into many of our other services to support them with other issues they may be facing and to help them overcome barriers to returning to education or training or accessing employment.

★★★★★

“I did the Billionaire Brows Course in the Equine Centre where we learned how to do brows and were certified at the end of the course. We also had the chance to explore other skills like Gel Nail Workshops and Spray Tanning , which really added to the experience. Sarah Naylor, the course facilitator, and Niamh were very helpful throughout it and I was very happy to have the opportunity to take part. It was amazing. I recommend it highly as I really enjoyed it and they’re all lovely staff.”
