Nestled in the heart of south-west Dublin, Cherry Orchard Pony Club has been transforming the lives of young people since 2005. Unlike other branches of the Irish Pony Club, our members don’t need to own a pony—the club provides access to ponies at the Cherry Orchard Equine Centre, making horsemanship accessible to all.
Our club is more than just riding lessons. We nurture teamwork, confidence, and sportsmanship in a safe and inclusive environment for young people aged 10–24. From weekly riding and stable management lessons to annual pony camps and public musical ride displays, Cherry Orchard Pony Club offers a unique opportunity for personal growth and community engagement.
Many of our past members have gone on to careers in the equine industry, from racing to instruction, demonstrating the lasting impact of our programs. But beyond career pathways, the club provides a sense of identity, belonging, and pride for young people in a community that faces significant social and economic challenges.
