My daughter is a working student with Cherry Orchard. Her heart is set on working with horses in the future. Her experience at Cherry Orchard has been beyond positive. In addition to receiving training to the highest standards, she has developed so much as an individual.  The team at Cherry Orchard are highly professional and the standards are impeccable, yet there is very much a close knit friendly environment.

The “work” hours are themselves extra training – learning how to work in a busy yard and all the skills that are required for employment in the industry.  My daughter sailed through her Stage 1 exams and is currently sitting her Stage 2. The team are genuinely invested in seeing their working students progress and encourage them to pursue their careers in the industry.  The support and training she has received at the centre has had a significant impact on the young adult she is becoming.

She was an early school leaver, having had a difficult time in mainstream education, but her strengths and abilities have been catered to, her weak areas have been worked on considerably and her confidence in herself and her abilities have blossomed.  I cannot recommend this programme highly enough.  Thank you to Edel. Michelle and all the staff who have been so kind and encouraging to our daughter. The role you have played is already having such a positive impact on her future.
