At Cherry Orchard Equine Centre, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) volunteering days are about far more than painting fences or completing maintenance projects. They are an opportunity for businesses to connect with their community, support local young people, and make a lasting difference to a charity that works every day to create positive opportunities for children, young people, and families.

Over the past year, we have welcomed corporate teams from a range of organisations who have generously given their time, energy, and expertise to support our work. Whether it is repainting arenas, improving facilities, tidying outdoor spaces, or helping us tackle jobs that often fall to the bottom of an ever-growing to-do list, every contribution helps us maintain a safe and welcoming environment for our participants and horses.

For many volunteers, spending a day at the centre offers a chance to step away from the office and experience something completely different. It provides an opportunity to work together as a team, enjoy the outdoors, meet our horses, and see first-hand the impact that community organisations have on the lives of local people.

For us, the benefits are equally significant. As a charity, resources are always stretched, and the support of corporate volunteers allows us to complete projects that would otherwise take months to achieve. Every freshly painted arena, repaired fence, swept yard, or improved facility helps us provide a better experience for the young people who attend our programmes.
